Podium Integration Guide for Trakwell

Required Integration Steps

  1. Contact Podium: Your company must reach out to Podium's integrations team to map your store locations to Trakwell's DataFeed Integration.

  2. Verify User Permissions: The company user who performs the OAuth authentication within Trakwell must have sufficient privileges to write data feeds for all intended locations. If the previous authorization was completed with an under-privileged user, you'll need to re-authorize by clicking the "Authorize" button within Trakwell.

  3. User Account Setup (Optional but Recommended): Ensure that salespersons within Trakwell have email addresses defined. For optimal functionality, their Podium.com accounts should use the same email addresses. This enables automatic attribution of messages and activities.

Verifying Your Integration Setup

To confirm that Podium has completed their side of the integration:

  1. Log into your Podium account
  2. Navigate to Automations in the left-hand navigation bar
    • If Automations is not visible, click "More" then select "Automations"
  3. Look for an automation with Source listed as Home (Doorcounts)
  4. Verify the Last Updated date is after February 24, 2025

Note: If you previously had an integration, you might see another automation with "Home" as the source. To identify the correct one, check that the Last Updated date is after February 24, 2025.

Understanding Message Routing

Messages (distinct from review requests) will always originate from and appear in the Podium Inbox of the user who authorized the integration. While the message should be automatically assigned to the salesperson who created it, allowing them to view it in their conversations.

Troubleshooting Support

For fastest resolution of integration issues, Podium recommends:

  • Opening an integration case with your designated Customer Success Manager, or
  • Contacting Podium's Support team directly

These cases are prioritized and routed to Podium's integration implementation specialists who are best equipped to address these specific technical issues.
